Job Description:

Corporate Partners | Build Your Own Practice with Spencer West

Fee share | Self-employed | England & Wales | Flexible working

Your practice, your clients, your terms.

Spencer West is an international law firm with 360+ partners across 25+ jurisdictions, recognised in Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500. We are expanding our corporate offering and want to speak with senior corporate lawyers who are ready to take control of their careers.

This is a fee share opportunity, not a salaried role. You run your own practice, keep the rewards of the work you do and the business you generate, and draw on a firm infrastructure that handles the things that slow lawyers down.

Why corporate lawyers join us

  • Reward that reflects what you bring. Transparent, fee-share economics
  • An environment that helps you expand your network. Through collaboration and relationship-building within our international firm, you can generate referrals and work together on cross-border matters from 25 jurisdictions (including M&A / private equity / venture capital / restructuring / commercial).
  • Freedom to practise your way. Choose where, when and how you work, with no rigid hierarchy.
  • Back office taken care of. Practice management, accounts, marketing, technology and office facilities across our network.
  • Build a team or stay independent. Whether you want to practise alone or grow your own team, we back both.
  • Collaborative, not corporate. Our values of collaboration, entrepreneurship and excellence mean you’ll have colleagues to share work and ideas with, not just a platform.

Who we’re looking for

  • Corporate lawyers with 8+ years’ PQE, from City, national or international firms, senior in-house roles, or boutique and independent practices
  • A recognised specialism and an established or developing client following
  • An entrepreneurial, client-first mindset
  • An active practising certificate or licence with no restrictions
  • Willingness to work on a self-employed basis, as a sole trader or via your own limited company

Our process

Simple and quick: an introductory call with the TA team, conversations with senior colleagues (virtual or in person), background checks, then onboarding with our marketing, accounts and technology teams.

If you are looking for a firm that allows you to practise at the highest level, grow your business, and work on your own terms, we would love to hear from you.
