Compliance Manager

Overview

In this role you will own the compliance function across two Dartford-based offices for a reputable construction contractor. You will manage ISO systems, industry accreditations, and subcontractor onboarding while coordinating HR administration and training records. You’ll support the Directors with operational and administrative duties and lead a small team to maintain high standards. This is a stable, close-knit environment focused on continual improvement and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage company compliance systems and ISO standards across two offices
• Oversee industry accreditations (e.g., CHAS, SMAS, Constructionline) and subcontractor onboarding
• Coordinate training records and right-to-work checks; handle HR administration
• Support Directors with business administration, fleet management and operational compliance
• Manage a team member and provide oversight across two offices with occasional travel

Key requirements

• Experience in construction compliance or related office management roles
• Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills
• Background in main contracting, subcontracting or specialist construction is advantageous
• Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of a varied role
• Able to commute to Dartford and travel occasionally
