Intercompany Finance Transformation Consultant

Overview

In this role you help transform intercompany finance processes within major programmes, collaborating with client finance teams to design and implement intercompany accounting across platforms like SAP and BlackLine. You participate in workshops, support go-live, and contribute to design decisions while identifying risks early. You work within the Finance Reinvention Partner team to enable faster, AI-enabled close and consolidation outcomes. This is a hands-on role with clear impact on cross-entity reporting and control.

Responsibilities

• Define and design intercompany accounting, including cross-company postings, intercompany AR/AP, invoicing, clearing, netting and settlement
• Support transfer-pricing policy translation into practical finance processes and align with enterprise structure
• Contribute to R2R close, group reporting and consolidation by understanding COA and enterprise structure
• Participate in delivery on SAP S/4HANA Finance, BlackLine (Intercompany and close automation) or similar platforms
• Lead workshops, manage client expectations and timelines, and build relationships with finance, tax and treasury stakeholders
• Identify risks within scope and communicate clearly; support design authority decisions
• Operate in an AI-first delivery mindset, applying tooling and orchestration while maintaining human judgment

Key requirements

• Deep intercompany accounting expertise across multiple entities; cross-company postings, intercompany AR/AP, and settlement
• Solid R2R/close understanding and link to group reporting and consolidation
• Platform exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance, BlackLine or similar tools; depth on one with curiosity for others
• Ability to run workshops, manage client relationships and timelines, and work with finance, tax and treasury stakeholders
• Professional finance or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent experience)
• Structured problem-solving, clear communication under pressure
• Ownership mindset and ability to follow through in a team environment
