Senior Housing Solicitor

We are working with an established London law firm seeking an experienced Housing Litigation Solicitor to join its team in a senior leadership capacity.

This opportunity is ideal for a Housing Supervisor, Senior Solicitor or Team Leader looking to progress their career while managing complex Housing Litigation matters and supporting departmental growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of Housing Litigation matters, including homelessness, possession, disrepair and unlawful eviction.
• Supervise and mentor junior Solicitors and Caseworkers.
• Undertake court advocacy and represent clients in complex proceedings.
• Oversee Legal Aid matters and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support departmental performance, business development and team growth.
• Minimum 3 years’ PQE in Housing Litigation.
• Strong publicly funded Housing and Legal Aid experience.
• Housing Possession Court Duty Scheme experience within the last 2 years (essential).
• Previous supervisory or team management experience.
• Strong advocacy, communication and case management skills.
• Knowledge of SQM Housing Supervisor standards or willingness to work towards them.
