Overview
In this role you will lead and support haematology services at Basildon, collaborating across the Trust to deliver high-quality care. You will participate in MDT meetings, outpatient clinics and drive service development in line with business plans. The position offers impact on patient care quality and staff development within an innovative team. A clear hook is contributing to a comprehensive haematology service for mid and south Essex, with opportunities to shape local practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead the organisation and development of Haematology services aligned with Trust plans and targets
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance and financial procedures
- Promote interdisciplinary team working across the Trust
- Support communication with the CSU, Service Manager and Head of Nursing to achieve objectives
- Attend relevant multidisciplinary meetings and oversee outpatient clinical activities
Key requirements
- MBBS or equivalent
- Entry on GMC Specialist register or within 6 months of CCT
- Comprehensive knowledge in the haematology specialty
- Knowledge/experience in research or audit and ability to apply clinical findings
