Rheumatology Consultant

Overview

In this role you will diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of rheumatic diseases within a community MSK, pain, and rheumatology service. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans, interpret diagnostic tests, and educate patients and families. You will contribute to clinical research and mentor junior staff while aligning care with the organization’s focus on professional growth and high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories
• Diagnose and manage conditions such as arthritis, lupus, gout, and other autoimmune diseases
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with an MDT to deliver comprehensive care
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests including blood work and imaging
• Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment options
• Participate in clinical research and stay updated with advances in rheumatology
• Provide mentorship and training to junior staff and students

Key requirements

• MBBS or equivalent
• CCT/CESR in rheumatology
• UK Registration
• Desirable: already working as a Rheumatology Consultant
