Machine Operative

Salary: £13 per hourHours: Monday to Friday | 8am to 4:30pmLocation: Leighton BuzzardJob Type: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Operating and monitoring production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Loading raw materials into machinery and removing finished products.
• Carrying out basic quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards.
• Following production instructions, specifications and health & safety procedures.
• Keeping the production area clean, tidy and organised.
• Reporting any machine faults, quality issues or production problems to the supervisor.
• Working to production targets while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
• Assisting with packing, labelling and preparing finished products for dispatch.
• Carrying out other general production duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or machine operating environment is desirable but not essential.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Physically fit and comfortable with standing for extended periods and carrying out manual handling duties.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes and machinery.
