Overview

In this Senior Consultant role, you will apply AI and data expertise to design and implement data models for the Insurance domain within EY’s FS AI & Data practice. You’ll work in delivery teams to transform data landscapes, drive standards, and deliver data products that enable analytics, reporting, and ML use cases. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, performance-optimized models aligned with modern storage and pipeline strategies. Responsibilities

• Contribute to complex Data Transformation programs with emphasis on data modelling; may perform business analysis, data strategy, data analysis, solution design, and implementation management
• Define data standards, canonical models, and entity relationships across domains with stakeholders
• Evaluate and adopt modeling best practices, tools, and automation to improve reuse, version control, and deployment efficiency
• Lead design, development, and optimization of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytics, reporting, ML, and transactional use cases
• Collaborate with data engineering and architecture teams to ensure models align with storage, compute, and pipeline strategies
• Manage delivery of physicalised data models and data products
• Contribute to proposals, RFP responses, and thought leadership on data modelling and AI/ML readiness

Key requirements

• FS experience in the Insurance sector with business understanding
• Experience in data modelling, data architecture, or cloud data products delivery
• Proficiency with data modelling tools (Erwin, ER/Studio, SqlDBM or SQL DB-native tools)
• Hands-on with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, GCP BigQuery) and modern data storage solutions
• Strong SQL and knowledge of data warehousing, lakehouses, OLTP/OLAP systems
• Demonstrable interest in emerging technologies
