Design Manager/Assistant

Overview

As a Design Manager / Assistant Design Manager you will support large-scale data centre projects, coordinating design teams to deliver on time and to high standards. You’ll work closely with the Senior Design Manager across Australia and overseas, organising meetings, workshops, and site visits while managing project tools and documentation. The role sits in a sustainability-focused team driving energy-efficient, zero-carbon data centre design. You’ll contribute to QA processes and cross-functional collaboration to shape impactful, world-class projects.

Responsibilities

• Support management of large-scale data centre projects
• Coordinate design teams and track deliverables
• Manage project tools and documentation systems
• Organise meetings, workshops, and site visits
• Liaise with commercial teams and contribute to QA processes

Key requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Architecture (Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services preferred)
• Understanding of construction design processes and building systems
• Strong MS Office skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate across teams
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and eager to learn
