Associate Director, indirect tax transformation (e-invoicing)

Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end delivery of e-invoicing engagements, from solution design to go-live, while managing scope, budget and risk. You will work with cross-functional teams and senior client stakeholders to translate mandates into practical delivery actions. The position offers exposure to global e-invoicing and ERP programs, with opportunities to shape delivery methodology and develop the team. You will help drive growth, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to the firm’s digital tax transformation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of e-invoicing projects, including scope, budget, risk and quality management across the lifecycle
• Support and maintain alliances with third-party technology providers
• Interpret multi-region e-invoicing mandates and translate requirements into delivery actions
• Act as senior point of contact with Tax, Finance and IT stakeholders
• Lead and coach project teams and develop junior staff
• Ensure engagement risk and quality align with firm policies and regulatory standards
• Drive business development through proposals, bids and thought leadership
• Refine delivery methodology and build reusable accelerators/tools; support recruitment and capability building

Key requirements

• Experience delivering tax technology or e-invoicing implementation projects at delivery ownership level
• Deep knowledge of e-invoicing/e-reporting regimes in at least one major region
• Hands-on experience implementing/integrating an e-invoicing or tax compliance platform
• Proven ability to lead complex multi-stakeholder technology engagements
• Strong stakeholder management
• Track record of business development and client relationship building
• People leadership experience
• Understanding of engagement risk and regulatory expectations in professional services
