Senior Manager – Technology, AI and Digital Risk
London | Hybrid working | Exclusive retained search
Help clients adopt AI with confidence. Shape the services they need next. Build your profile as a future Director.
55 Exec Search is conducting a confidential retained search for a Senior Manager to help shape and grow the Secure AI and Digital Trust capability of a leading management consultancy.
The firm is looking for a future Director who can help shape and lead its Secure AI and Digital Trust growth agenda: developing propositions, building executive relationships and turning market insight into work clients value.
The role sits at the intersection of AI adoption, cyber security and emerging technology risk. It requires someone who can help senior clients adopt AI safely while translating risk into practical controls, operating models and transformation programmes.
This is a market-facing position for someone who wants to influence the direction of a growing practice, develop new propositions and become a recognised voice in AI governance and digital trust.
The opportunity
- Advise boards, CISOs and technology leaders on AI governance, security and risk
- Help organisations adopt AI safely and effectively
- Design practical governance frameworks, controls and operating models
- Lead work across cloud security, cyber strategy and emerging technology risk
- Develop Secure AI and Digital Trust propositions
- Produce points of view and thought leadership that generate client conversations
- Originate opportunities and grow existing accounts
- Explore developing areas such as agentic security, post-quantum readiness and cryptographic agility
The anticipated balance is approximately 60% delivery leadership and 40% business development, proposition building and thought leadership.
We are interested in people with:
- A strong and practical point of view on AI governance, risk and compliance
- Experience helping clients implement AI controls, rather than addressing the subject solely at policy level
- Knowledge of relevant frameworks and regulation, such as the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF or ISO 42001
- Broader experience in digital trust, cloud security, cyber strategy or technology risk
- Confidence advising boards and executive stakeholders
- Experience creating propositions, publishing thought leadership or developing a market profile
- Evidence of contributing to business development and account growth
- The ambition and potential to progress towards Director within 12-18 months
- Experience in agentic security, AI-enabled SOC or GRC capabilities, post-quantum security or cryptographic agility would be particularly valuable, although depth across every area is not expected.
- Additional exposure in building tooling, automation or AI-enabled delivery capabilities would add value.
- Certifications such as AIGP, CISSP or CCSP are welcome, alongside evidence of practical impact.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape an emerging capability, build their market reputation and lead work from initial strategy through to practical implementation.
Why consider it?
You’ll have the opportunity to shape a developing area of the business, with the reach of an established global consultancy and the visibility that comes from working in a small, senior specialist team.
Benefits include profit share, hybrid and flexible working, a wellbeing fund and volunteering days.
