Hematologist – Medical Director

Overview

In this role you will provide medical, scientific, and strategic leadership for planning, executing, and reporting clinical trials. You will serve as Medpace’s medical expert for study results interpretation and contribute to protocol design and project planning. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery across trials. This position offers hybrid WFH, exposure to diverse therapeutic areas, and a path to higher impact in clinical development.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical management and expertise for clinical trials
• Contribute medical input to study reports, regulatory documents, and manuscripts
• Manage safety issues in trials and collaborate on evaluation of results
• Participate in new business development through proposals and sponsor meetings
• Coordinate with other departments across all study phases, including feasibility, design, and medical documentation
• Lead adherence to protocol and research-related policies

Key requirements

• MD degree or equivalent
• Board certification and current medical licensure preferred
• Prior clinical trial research experience preferred
• Previous experience in pharmaceutical-related clinical research preferred
