• salary with London weighting and up to 12,500 Market Forces Supplement

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of Building Inspectors (Class 2 & 3) to deliver building control services
• Maintain and enhance the viability and standing of the District Surveyor’s Office
• Work with designers and contractors on large-scale, multi‑tenanted developments
• Support competence development through internal and external training systems
• Oversee registration and professional development with regulatory and professional bodies
• Promote a world‑class Building Control service in a competitive market

Key requirements

• Professionally qualified Building Inspector (Class 3 registered)
• Extensive professional and technical skills in Building Control
• Strong commitment to delivering high‑quality service
• Experience leading or supervising a team in a building control or related capacity
• Willingness to engage with external training and professional bodies
• Knowledge of Building Safety Regulator registration processes (desirable)
