Overview

In this role you lead the design and implementation of advanced mechanical and HVAC solutions for data centres, collaborating with a diverse client base. You will develop detailed design models, guide complex mechanical systems, and drive innovative cooling technologies while mentoring junior engineers. The role offers leadership growth across projects of varying scale and impact within a fast-paced data centre sector. Responsibilities

• Develop detailed design models and simulations for mechanical and HVAC systems in data centre projects
• Lead the design of complex mechanical systems for optimal cooling performance
• Drive innovative mechanical designs for HVAC with cutting-edge technologies
• Manage project activities to align with strategic objectives and mentor junior staff
• Represent the team in client meetings with expert insights and recommendations

Key requirements

• Chartered Engineer in Building Services (CIBSE/IMechE) or within 6–12 months of achieving it
• Significant experience in Mechanical Engineering within a consulting environment
• Experience across data centre design and construction stages (cooling, PUE/WUE, resilience/TIER, testing/commissioning)
• Proficiency in design and energy-modelling tools
• Experience leading the development and implementation of mechanical engineering solutions
