Risk Analyst – Portfolio Team (UK)

Overview

In this role you will advance iwoca’s lending strategy by analysing data and developing credit models. You will collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and senior stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights that improve decision-making and portfolio outcomes. You’ll gain domain expertise, apply diverse analytical approaches, and help scale models with a focus on impact for customers. The role combines modelling, tooling, and policy support to meet investor and regulatory needs in a collaborative, growth-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyse data and contribute to the development of credit models
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and senior stakeholders to shape lending strategy
• Monitor and refine risk models to improve decision-making and portfolio outcomes
• Analyse portfolios and tests to identify drivers of change and adapt lending strategies
• Build tooling, monitoring, and workflows to reduce manual effort and catch adversity faster
• Support new product launches and adapt policies to meet investor and regulatory needs

Key requirements

• Quantitative degree (math, stats, econ, engineering or related)
• Ability to analyse data and generate insights to support decisions
• Clear written and verbal communication tailored to audiences
• Team player comfortable working with diverse teams
• Commitment to using modern tools effectively, including AI, to maximise quality and outcomes
• Bonus: Experience in credit risk, lending, and strategy
