ETRM Implementation Program Manager – 2 Year Contract – Based from anywhere in Europe

Overview

As an senior ETRM Implementation Program Manager, you will lead the end-to-end deployment of a strategic ETRM platform across two merged energy trading entities. You will own the transformation from mobilisation to stabilization, ensuring delivery on time and within budget while coordinating multiple waves across geographies. You will serve as the central interface among business units, IT, vendors, and senior management, shaping the target operating model and architecture into actionable plans. This 2-year contract role offers remote work across Europe with periodic on-site travel to Switzerland, and the opportunity to influence large-scale risk, trading, and logistics systems. Responsibilities

• Create and own the integrated ETRM/ERP implementation plan with milestones and dependencies
• Establish program governance bodies and escalation mechanisms
• Manage scope, budget, risks, issues and dependencies
• Coordinate multiple project managers and vendors
• Provide executive progress reporting and delivery confidence
• Hold vendors and internal teams accountable for commitments
• Ensure alignment with the Supply & Trading Target Operating Model
• Govern requirements, design, configuration, and fit-to-standard initiatives
• Oversee functional areas including trade capture, pricing, logistics, inventory, exposure, hedging, MtM/P&L, credit and settlement
• Represent refinery and physical-product flows in the solution
• Foster ownership across Trading, Supply, Operations, Risk, Finance and Wholesale
• Coordinate training and organizational readiness
• Manage stakeholder expectations across legacy VARO and Preem organizations

Key requirements

• 10-15+ years of complex transformation/program delivery experience
• Proven experience leading multiple end-to-end ETRM implementations
• Experience with vendor selection and major oil trading E/CTRM systems (e.g., Aspect CTRM, Symphony CTRM, Allegro CTRM, Endur CTRM, RightAngle CTRM)
• Delivery of transformation programs with multiple vendors
• Strong knowledge of physical energy/commodity trading environments (crude oil and refined products)
• Understanding of complete trade lifecycle
• Experience integrating ETRM with ERP and complex logistics
• Experience managing major systems integrators and software vendors
• Experience delivering across multiple countries/business units
