Overview
In this role you support the City Operations Division by assessing and authorising special events on the public highway, ensuring adherence to Corporation policies. You represent the City in highways and traffic management discussions with police, TfL and partner boroughs, and you manage road closures to minimise disruption. You coordinate event planning from application to delivery, advising on suitable locations and working closely with event organisers to shape a world-class city.

Responsibilities
- Assess and authorise applications for special events on the public highway
- Represent the City in highways and traffic management meetings with partners (police, TfL, other boroughs)
- Proactively manage road closures on event days and resolve issues to minimise disruption
- Be the City’s primary contact for event organizers for allocated events on the highway
- Coordinate from application through delivery, advising on location suitability and availability
- Support planning and execution of events in alignment with policies and procedures
