UK Payroll Renewal Analyst

Overview

In this role you will contribute to a major payroll transformation program, supporting the delivery of a new payroll system for thousands of employees. You will work within a cross-functional team to shape processes, assess risks, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery. The position offers hands-on experience with testing, requirements gathering, and governance in a high-profile project. You will build strong relationships with Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, and external partners while developing your expertise in the new payroll platform. This temporary 18-month assignment offers meaningful impact on how payroll is delivered and supported.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll transformation activities and ensure delivery to timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders, escalating issues or risks as needed.
• Assist with requirements gathering and design reviews for the new payroll system.
• Develop knowledge of the payroll system functionality to enable successful delivery.
• Support testing and deployment activities, including UAT and coverage validation.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation in line with governance requirements.
• Provide analysis and evidence to support project decisions and readiness.
• Maintain project documentation and report progress to the team and management.
• Build relationships across Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, and external partners.

Key requirements

• Project management experience and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience handling large data sets with complex analysis; strong Excel skills.
• Logical, process-oriented mindset and team-oriented collaboration.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work accurately under time pressure; adaptable with control mindset.
• Timekeeping, Payroll or HR experience.
• Knowledge of Hourly Blue Book and Salary Handbook advantageous.
• Experience with Payroll Applications SAP/Global View.
