Infrastructure Team Leader

Overview

As Infrastructure Team Leader you will guide a team of infrastructure and security engineers while remaining hands-on with core technologies. You’ll drive projects, improve services, and ensure a secure, resilient IT environment in a hybrid working setup. You’ll work closely with the Infrastructure & Security Manager to balance technical delivery with people leadership. This role offers a path from technical delivery into leadership, shaping the future of the firm’s technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Infrastructure Engineers
• Manage workloads, priorities, rotas, and on-call support
• Collaborate with the Infrastructure & Security Manager on projects and continual improvement
• Act as escalation point for complex technical issues and major incidents
• Provide third-line support across cloud, infrastructure, and security technologies
• Work with other Technology teams to deliver a reliable, secure, and high-quality service
• Drive technical change and service improvements to boost resilience and performance

Key requirements

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, hybrid infrastructure, and Microsoft 365 technologies
• Knowledge of networking, security, and identity management (Entra ID, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender)
• Structured and methodical troubleshooting and service improvement approach
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Experience managing multiple priorities while staying calm under pressure
