Principal Building Control Officer

Overview

In this role you lead a team of Class 2 & 3 Registered Building Inspectors to deliver a world-class Building Control service in a highly competitive market. You will work on tall, complex projects with eminent designers and contractors, shaping the City’s building control outcomes and the District Surveyor’s Office standing. Responsibilities

• Lead a team of registered Building Inspectors to ensure high-quality Building Control services
• Contribute to the viability and standing of the District Surveyor’s Office in a competitive market
• Collaborate with designers and contractors on complex, multi-use developments
• Maintain and develop professional competence through internal and external training systems
• Support registration and professional memberships (e.g., with Building Safety Regulator and bodies like RICS/CABE/IFE)
• Engage with projects spanning tall office, retail, hotel and residential developments

Key requirements
