This opportunity is open to PIP2-qualified Detective Constable who are passionate about delivering high-quality investigations, safeguarding vulnerable people and bringing offenders to justice. As part of BTP’s specialist investigative teams, you will play a vital role in tackling crime across a busy and dynamic transport network while working closely with local policing partners and safeguarding agencies.
- Applicants must be a current or former officer from a Home Office Police Force, Police Scotland, PSNI or British Transport Police
- Must be able to be operational.
- Applicants must be substantive in the rank of Detective Constable
- Applicants must hold a current PIP2 Investigator Accreditation
- Transferees must have completed their probationary period
- Re-joiners must apply within 5 years of leaving policing and have previously been substantive in rank
- Must have lived in the UK for the past 3 consecutive years
- No live misconduct warnings or performance issues
- Cannot be under current investigation by another force
- No active CCJs, unmanaged IVAs, or bankruptcy
- We do not accept applications from those dismissed from another force
- We do not accept applications if you have been declined vetting at another Force within 2 years
- Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence.
