Overview

In this role, you lead end-to-end S2P and R2R finance processes for Pearson, owning Oracle platforms and driving accurate reporting and strong controls. You partner with Finance, Procurement, Technology, Audit and external providers to enable operations, transformations and continuous improvement. You will shape system and process design, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure GL integrity across the enterprise. This position blends hands-on finance expertise with strategic stakeholder engagement in a hybrid US setting. You will play a key role in transforming cloud and on-premise finance platforms to support rapid business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead End-to-End S2P and R2R processes, ensuring seamless subledger to GL integration
• Own core finance processes: requisitioning, AP/payments, employee expenses, GL, fixed assets, cash management, period-end close
• Act as senior finance contact for US S2P and R2R operations
• Provide functional leadership across Oracle EBS and Fusion Cloud modules (iProcurement, Purchasing, Payables, Payments, Expenses, GL, Fixed Assets, Cash Management)
• Collaborate with IT, SI partners, and Oracle support to maintain data integrity and system performance
• Engage with senior stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions and best practices
• Lead workshops and design sessions with business and technical teams
• Ensure robust R2R governance, SOX/compliance, and coordination with Internal and external auditors
• Maintain high-quality balance sheet reconciliations and US GAAP compliance

Key requirements

• Min 10 years hands-on Oracle EBS experience across finance modules
• Functional experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud modules: iProcurement, Purchasing, Payables, Payments, Expenses, GL, Fixed Assets, Cash Management
• Strong end-to-end S2P and R2R understanding in a complex enterprise
• Experience supporting US-based finance operations, close and regulatory requirements
