Design & Engineering Lead

Overview

In this role you will provide engineering leadership and technical assurance across major defence and nuclear infrastructure programmes. You will influence engineering standards, review designs, and manage risk and change in a highly regulated environment. You will work closely with programme teams and supply chains to ensure evidence-based solutions meet required standards. Responsibilities

• Lead engineering governance, standards and technical assurance
• Review designs, specifications and technical submissions
• Assess design maturity, technical risk and engineering evidence
• Oversee requirements, configuration control and technical change
• Collaborate with programme teams, customers and supply chain partners
• Identify and escalate technical risks, issues and deviations
• Support development of engineering capability, SMEs and SQEP
• Drive continuous improvement and share engineering best practice
