Overview

In this role, you will lead a specialist Claims function within a growing, independent insurance business. You will shape how claims operations evolve in a close-knit team, balancing growth with strong governance. You’ll tackle complex Commercial Lines claims, driving outcomes and collaborating with senior leaders on strategy. This is a hands-on opportunity to influence processes, data-driven improvements, and regulatory compliance in a forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Claims function across Commercial Lines portfolios with complexity
• Oversee end-to-end claims handling from notification to settlement or litigation
• Monitor claims data and trends to identify improvement opportunities
• Ensure regulatory compliance and internal governance
• Collaborate with senior leadership and operations on strategy and process development
• Suggest and contribute to shaping how claims operations evolve

Key requirements

• Proven experience in Claims Management with a strong background in Technical Commercial claims
• Confident in leading a Claims function and making senior-level decisions
• Solid understanding of Claims Regulation, reserving principles, and supplier management
• Strong communicator with ability to build internal and external relationships
