Onboarding manager

Overview

In this role you will drive secure onboarding for merchants, business and crypto clients, ensuring compliant KYC/KYB handling and smooth documentation. You will be the primary contact through the onboarding lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand client models and apply product and technical knowledge. You will build lasting relationships to deliver an excellent client experience while identifying inefficiencies and driving process improvements in a fast-paced fintech environment. This role supports Unlimit’s mission to enable borderless commerce by linking local markets to global rails.

Responsibilities

• Onboard merchants, business and crypto clients including KYC/KYB procedures
• Prepare, review, and coordinate agreements and onboarding docs
• Act as main client contact through onboarding lifecycle with clear communication
• Understand clients’ business models, incl. crypto use cases, using product/tech knowledge
• Build and maintain professional relationships for excellent client experience
• Manage end-to-end merchant/account registration with internal teams and external contractors
• Collaborate with Risk and AML to ensure regulatory/compliance standards
• Provide first-line approvals as part of the defense
• Conduct due diligence checks and assess risks
• Support/perform technical setup such as terminal and account configuration
• Identify onboarding inefficiencies and propose process improvements

Key requirements

• University degree or equivalent in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
• At least 1 year of experience in onboarding, account management, or customer support in payments/banking/crypto
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across teams and management levels
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational/time-management skills
• High attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Ability to understand complex structures and assess risk
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Technical knowledge is a plus
• Knowledge of crypto/blockchain or virtual asset services is a plus
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher
