Insights Analyst

Overview

In this role, you will bridge the gap between the business and Insights teams within AXA Commercial Lines, applying claims data analysis to inform strategic decisions amid inflation and evolving standards. You will support planning, pricing, and finance with timely insights, develop models to monitor profitability, and contribute to a platform of early warning indicators. You’ll work with cross-functional stakeholders to enable data-driven decision making and deliver automated Power BI dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Enhance collaboration between insights, planning, pricing, and finance teams with analytical support
• Analyse claims performance and loss ratios to inform strategic plans
• Forecast future performance by examining premium, claims, and loss ratio trends and explaining influencing factors
• Inform long-term projections using market data and contribute to annual strategic planning
• Develop a model to update business profitability monthly from emerging data trends
• Contribute to building a platform for early warning indicators of claims KPI trends
• Build relationships with stakeholders in Finance, Claims, Underwriting, Actuarial, Pricing, and Reinsurance to support the reserving process
• Deliver automated Power BI reports and self-service dashboards on claims performance

Key requirements

• Design, implement, and manage effective processes for financial MI updates
• Experience using data insights to support claims analysis
• High degree of commercial acumen
• Experience building and maintaining relationships across multiple teams
• Proficient in negotiation and influencing skills
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and pragmatism
