Product Consultant (Healthcare)

Overview

In this role, you will own the team backlog from inception through delivery, champion MVP thinking, and communicate value to the team and stakeholders. You’ll lead agile ceremonies, run workshops to build consensus, and contribute to the Product capability. You’ll coach and develop a small team, shaping how work is broken down and delivered. This position combines hands-on delivery with mentoring in a collaborative, diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Own team backlog maturation and delivery scope from inception to release
• Champion MVP thinking and communicate value to team and stakeholders
• Lead agile ceremonies and foster engagement within the team
• Plan and run workshops with stakeholders to build consensus
• Support delivery initiatives within the Product capability
• Coach and develop junior team members and manage performance
• Elicit functional, technical, and non-functional requirements and translate into user stories
• Break down work, manage dependencies, and ensure backlog quality and maturity
• Contribute to sales activities (bids, proposals) when needed
• Explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Key requirements

• Experience in bespoke software delivery within an agile, client-facing consulting setting
• Healthcare or public sector experience
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle from analysis to live operations
• Excellent workshop facilitation and stakeholder management
• Ability to model as-is and to-be business processes and present them for buy-in
• Strong stakeholder management and adaptable communication styles
• Experience breaking work into deliverable pieces and writing user stories
• Proven ability to prioritize backlog to achieve MVP and manage scope
• Ability to work within commercial constraints like cost and deadlines
• Strong facilitation, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
• Experience contributing to sales activities and bids
• Mentoring and coaching of junior team members
• Ability to simplify technical jargon for non-technical audiences
