Job Description We are recruiting an experienced Metrology Technician to join a well-established precision engineering organisation on a permanent basis. n This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong dimensional inspection experience who is confident using OGP measurement systems alongside conventional inspection equipment. The Role n Working closely with Quality, Engineering and Production, you will be responsible for ensuring precision-engineered components meet the required dimensional and quality standards. n Your responsibilities will include: n n Carrying out dimensional inspection of precision-engineered components n Operating and programming OGP measurement systems n Creating, updating and step-editing OGP measurement programs n Troubleshooting measurement issues and developing accurate, repeatable inspection routines n Performing manual inspection using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges and other dimensional inspection equipment n Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances n Interpreting GD&T requirements where applicable n Accurately recording and communicating inspection results n Identifying and escalating non-conforming components n Supporting Production, Quality and Engineering teams with measurement and inspection queries n Maintaining consistent and repeatable measurement and inspection methods n About Youn We are keen to speak with candidates who have: n n Previous experience within metrology, quality inspection or precision engineering n Hands-on experience with OGP measurement systems n Experience creating, modifying or step-editing measurement programs n Strong manual inspection and dimensional measurement skills n Confidence using a variety of conventional measuring equipment n The ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings and tolerances n Knowledge of GD&T n Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to quality n The confidence to work independently while contributing to a wider engineering and quality team n The Opportunityn This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to join a technically focused engineering environment where metrology and dimensional inspection play an important role within the manufacturing process. n If you are an experienced Metrology Inspector, Quality Inspector or Dimensional Inspector looking for your next permanent opportunity, we would be keen to hear from you. n Apply today for a confidential discussion about the position, salary, benefits and location. n n JBRP1_UKTJ
