Senior Construction Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead on-site delivery of high-value commercial fit-out projects, ensuring programmes are met and quality is maintained. You will coordinate subcontractors, site teams, and logistics while upholding safety and collaborating with design and commercial colleagues. The position offers ownership of project delivery on high-profile schemes and a pathway to autonomy within an ambitious, supportive team. You’ll shape on-site execution and foster a high-performance culture, delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to exacting standards.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for on-site delivery of CAT A & CAT B fit-out projects up to £20m from pre-construction to handover
• Lead construction activities on site to meet programme, quality, and safety expectations
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams and logistics to ensure smooth delivery
• Ensure health & safety compliance and promote best practice across site operations
• Collaborate with design and commercial teams to resolve issues and manage changes
• Oversee short-term programming, sequencing, and daily site operations to drive productivity
• Monitor risk, quality, and progress and implement solutions to keep projects moving
• Provide strong on-site leadership, mentoring teams and fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients and consultants during delivery

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Construction Manager or similar role delivering commercial fit-out projects
• Track record of delivering projects up to £20m in value
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site management, and fit-out delivery challenges
• Confident in managing subcontractors, programmes, and site logistics in fast-paced environments
• Strong leadership presence with ability to drive teams and maintain high standards
