We’re looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure and Information Security professional to take ownership of the strategy, security, governance and continual improvement of our UK technology infrastructure.
Reporting to the Head of IT – UK, you’ll work closely with Group IT, business stakeholders and third-party providers to ensure the availability, resilience, performance and security of services across our growing multi-site logistics operation. You’ll act as the UK subject matter expert for infrastructure and cyber security, driving improvements and supporting future business growth.
This role is based in Milton Keynes with hybrid working and will require regular travel to sites across the UK.
About You
You’ll be a highly motivated infrastructure and security professional with experience operating within a multi-site environment. You’ll have a strong technical background, excellent stakeholder management skills and a proactive approach to delivering secure, reliable and scalable technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the UK infrastructure and cyber security strategy.
- Ensure high availability, resilience and performance across infrastructure platforms.
- Lead cyber security governance, risk management and incident response activities.
- Manage cloud services, networks, servers, storage and end-user computing environments.
- Drive infrastructure standardisation and technology lifecycle management.
- Own business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Manage infrastructure suppliers, service providers and telecommunications partners.
- Lead infrastructure and security projects from concept through to delivery.
- Maintain compliance with security standards, policies and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a senior infrastructure or IT management role.
- Strong knowledge of networking, cloud technologies, Microsoft 365, servers, storage and end-user computing.
- Experience leading cyber security and infrastructure operations.
- Strong understanding of IT service management and governance.
- Experience managing suppliers, partners and senior stakeholders.
- Business continuity and disaster recovery planning experience.
- Logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or distribution sector experience.
- Azure, Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001 or similar knowledge or certifications.
