Solicitor – Catastrophic Loss Team

Overview

In this role you join a leading Catastrophic Loss team to handle a mix of personal injury and multi-track cases for insurers and corporate clients. You will work closely with senior colleagues on high-value matters, shaping liability and quantum strategy and supporting settlement negotiations. The role blends client service with technical work, including documentation, court preparation, and ongoing legal updates in catastrophic injury and insurance law. Responsibilities

• Manage a multi-track personal injury and catastrophic loss caseload, while supporting senior team members on high-value cases
• Advise insurers and corporate clients on liability, quantum, and litigation strategy
• Draft pleadings and court documents, prepare for hearings, and engage in settlement negotiations
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive service delivery
• Stay updated on developments in catastrophic injury and insurance law

Key requirements

• PQE 1–3 years
• Experience on defendant multi-track Catastrophic Loss and Personal Injury (RTA, EL, PL)
• Experience handling claims valued from £150,000 to £20 million (advantageous)
• Strong technical knowledge of PI law, liability, and quantum
• Analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• Proven ability to build client relationships
