Senior Planner

AWC Staff Services is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to support gas plant operations and project delivery in Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled planning professional with experience in the oil and gas or energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules and programmes.
• Monitor project progress against planned milestones, identifying potential delays and risks.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers and contractors to ensure effective project delivery.
• Prepare progress reports, look-ahead programmes and critical path analysis.
• Identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support project controls, forecasting and programme reviews.
• Ensure planning activities align with project objectives, safety requirements and operational priorities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Planning Engineer within the oil and gas, gas processing or energy sector.
• Experience working on gas plant projects or within operational facilities.
• Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling software, ideally Primavera P6.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Relevant industry qualifications and site experience are advantageous.

Offering a competitive contract rate of £550 -£600 per day, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Planning Engineer to contribute to a key gas plant project in Aberdeen.
