Associate Manager – Biochem

Overview

In this role you lead a lab team to deliver daily operational performance within IQVIA Laboratories. You mentor staff, manage hiring and performance, and drive safety and quality across the group. You’ll review metrics, promote process improvements, and ensure compliance with policies and CAPA procedures. You’ll liaise with senior management to resolve workload and technical issues and help shape lab procedures. Responsibilities

• Supervise and set daily operational activities for lab teams
• Hire, train, and manage performance of staff
• Delegate tasks, provide technical training, and monitor work
• Meet with staff and management to resolve workload and technical issues
• Ensure safety compliance and promote safety accountability
• Review lab metrics and drive process improvements, including cost-saving initiatives
• Ensure policies and procedures are understood and followed by staff, customers, and stakeholders
• Address CAPA and quality incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive improvements
• Assist in establishing and revising lab policies and QA procedures
• Maintain control and quality assurance procedures and ensure safety compliance

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Biology based science
• 4 years of relevant experience in a clinical laboratory or clinical trials environment
• Experience in technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration
• Proficiency with LIMS and other laboratory data systems
• Familiarity with CAPA processes and quality systems
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex data
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks or projects simultaneously
• Ability to write scientific and technical documents
• Understanding of LEAN 6 Sigma principles
