Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end refurbishment, maintenance, repair, and fit-out projects across EDF’s corporate estate, ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality environments. You will work with cross-functional teams, contractors and suppliers to deliver projects on time and within budget, while continuously improving delivery and value. The position combines significant autonomy with national travel, contributing to EDF’s journey toward An Electric Britain. This is a national, hybrid role that supports work-life balance and flexible location.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of refurbishment, maintenance, repair and fit-out projects
• Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, governance and stakeholder expectations
• Coordinate internal specialists, contractors, consultants and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, safety, quality and environmental requirements
• Identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement and value for money across project delivery

Key requirements

• Project management experience leading multidisciplinary teams
• Experience delivering construction and facilities-related projects in a multi-stakeholder environment
• Strong understanding of PM methodologies, procurement routes, and contract management
• Highly developed stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
• Ability to manage complex problems with evaluation, judgement and prioritisation
• Commercially astute with strong numeracy and cost-control capability
• Ability to work autonomously across wide geographic areas with site attendance
• Self-motivated and resilient, managing competing priorities
• Organisational skills in planning and programming to ensure on-time, within-scope, within-budget delivery
• Ability to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and EDF requirements for safety and quality
