A fast-growing fintech is looking for a technically strong, commercially minded data leader to shape its data capabilities and AI strategy. You’ll combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership, working across engineering, analytics and business teams to build robust data foundations, deliver AI solutions and improve business decision-making.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead technical strategy: Shape the architecture and roadmap for data, analytics and AI.
• Deliver AI solutions: Identify opportunities and implement AI-powered tools and workflows.
• Strengthen data foundations: Improve data modelling, pipelines, quality and warehouse architecture.
• Partner with stakeholders: Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions with measurable impact.
• Develop the team: Mentor specialists, raise engineering standards and build long-term capability.

What you’ll bring

• Strong technical experience across data engineering, analytics engineering or applied AI, alongside leadership experience.
• Excellent SQL skills and knowledge of data modelling, warehousing and modern data platforms.
• Experience delivering production-grade data pipelines, integrations and AI solutions.
• Sound architectural judgement and the ability to assess technical trade-offs.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in commercial terms.
• A hands-on mindset, comfortable contributing directly when needed.
