Frontend Staff Engineer (React) – Rave CTMS

Overview

In this role you will help shape Medidata’s CTMS platform within our Study Experience team. You’ll translate business needs into technical solutions, define industry-standard practices, and lead product delivery with engineering management and architects. You’ll troubleshoot production issues, mentor peers, and foster high-quality, test-driven development in a global, cross-functional setting. This is a hybrid role in London, contributing to a cloud-based SaaS platform that accelerates clinical trials and improves patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• Propose solutions to complex business problems and translate them to technology
• Provide impact analysis, technical assessment and documentation
• Define and advocate engineering best practices for the team
• Collaborate with Engineering management and Architecture in delivering products
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide prompt workarounds
• Mentor colleagues at Senior & App Engineer level; engage in code reviews to promote TDD/BDD
• Collaborate with diverse, globally distributed teams

Key requirements

• Snowflake OR Redshift OR Spark experience
• React/TypeScript experience
• Experience in a microservice ecosystem and cloud-based web apps
• Cloud technologies experience (AWS)
• DevOps tools experience (Github Actions, Terraform or similar)
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and auditing concepts
• Typically 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master’s or equivalent
• Experience in commercial B2B / Enterprise SaaS offerings
