Ceded Re Analyst

Overview

In this role you will support and enhance ceded reinsurance operations within a growing specialty insurer. You will manage premium and loss reporting, treaty administration, and bordereaux processes while driving reporting improvements. You will collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance and reinsurance teams to ensure accurate data and effective performance insights. The position offers hybrid working in London and a clear impact on financial close and reporting quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage ceded premium and loss reporting, collections and treaty activity
• Ensure accurate setup and administration of reinsurance arrangements
• Produce bordereaux, reporting and reconciliations
• Support financial close processes and ceded balance reporting
• Analyse exposure data and reinsurer performance
• Identify and implement process improvements and reporting enhancements
• Work closely with underwriting, claims, finance and reinsurance teams
• Liaise with brokers and external partners regarding documentation and reporting requirements

Key requirements

• 5+ years’ experience within ceded reinsurance operations or reinsurance accounting
• Strong understanding of quota share, treaty and facultative arrangements
• Experience within delegated authority/MGA business beneficial
• Knowledge of bordereaux management, reconciliations and financial reporting
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Professional qualifications (e.g. CII) advantageous
