About you
- Fully qualified accountant with membership of one of the recognised professional bodies (e.g., ICAI, ICAS, ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, CPA)
- Minimum of two years’ post-qualified experience in a large, complex organisation (minimum £25 million annual budget or 250 staff)
- Solid experience in management accounts preparation, budget development, and financial advising
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills to effectively influence senior and non-financial stakeholders
What you’ll do
- Lead the production of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Advise budget holders on financial controls, performance, and forecasts
- Develop and manage budgets at departmental and College level, supporting strategic financial planning
- Oversee financial reporting, including ad hoc and standard reports, to support managerial decision-making
- Line manage the College’s Finance Business Partner and oversee key financial sections such as Accounts Receivable and Student Finance
