We are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable Lead to oversee a team within a busy Shared Services finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable professional with leadership experience to manage day to day Accounts Payable operations, drive team performance, and support process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and develop a team of Accounts Payable administrators.
- Ensure invoices, supplier queries and statement reconciliations are processed accurately and within agreed service levels.
- Monitor and drive team performance against KPIs and SLAs.
- Act as the first point of escalation for invoice discrepancies and reconciliation issues.
- Conduct regular 1-2-1 meetings and manage employee performance.
- Reconcile corporate credit card statements and ensure timely completion.
- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Produce performance reports and present updates to senior management.
- Work collaboratively with wider finance teams to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the Purchase to Pay function.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive Accounts Payable experience.
- Previous experience leading and developing a team of 4+ employees.
- Strong understanding of invoice processing, reconciliations and supplier management.
- Experience working to KPIs and service level agreements.
- Proven ability to implement process improvements and manage change.
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Experience within a Shared Services environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of Concur expense management software would be advantageous.
