Loan Operations & Documentation

Overview

In this role you will drive end-to-end transfer of syndicated loan assets, coordinating with Front Office, agent banks and buyers to document, circle, book and settle trades. You will work within a loan agency and transfer framework to ensure accurate documentation and timely execution, supporting balance sheet optimisation for a bank-led transfer programme. You’ll leverage LMA Transfer Certificates, Pricing Letters and Loan IQ to manage the lifecycle from trade date to settlement. This role offers hands-on impact in a complex, process-driven environment with external counterparties and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Transfer Certificates per LMA standards and execute transfer mechanics on deadline
• Interrogate credit agreements to identify operational transfer requirements and flag impact on trades
• Draft and issue Pricing Letters using secondary loan market conventions
• Complete circling and maintenance in Loan IQ to keep positions and settlement data accurate
• Act as primary contact with agent banks for documentation, consents, and agency process until effective date
• Liaise with buying counterparties to resolve queries and drive trades to close
• Own quality checks across the transfer pack and validate documentation pre-execution to ensure first-time settlement

Key requirements

• Experience in syndicated loan operations, loan agency, or secondary loan trading support
• Proven ability to execute sales and transfers of loan assets from trade date to settlement (essential)
• Working knowledge of LMA documentation, especially Transfer Certificates, Pricing Letters, and transfer provisions
• Understanding of syndicated lending agency processes and agent bank operations in transfers
• Strong attention to detail and data/documentation validation before issuance
• Confident written and verbal communication with external counterparties and internal stakeholders
• Availability to start immediately
