Apply for the Business Development Manager – Construction
Location: Swansea
Job Description:

Moxie People are working with an organisation operating within the public sector procurement and construction environment to recruit a Client Account Manager for a six-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands the challenges facing social housing providers, local authorities, and property teams, and enjoys building long-term relationships that deliver real value.

The role is less about winning new business and more about developing trusted partnerships with existing clients, helping them maximise the benefits of established procurement solutions, and supporting them throughout the lifecycle of their property investment programmes.

The Role

As Client Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and developing relationships with an established portfolio of clients across Wales.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders involved in housing, asset management, development, construction, maintenance and improvement programmes, ensuring they are fully utilising available procurement solutions and receiving a consistently high level of support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with existing clients across Wales.
  • Support customers to fully utilise procurement solutions available to them.
  • Understand client development, maintenance and investment programmes.
  • Provide ongoing support throughout project lifecycles.
  • Develop engagement plans to strengthen customer relationships and improve service adoption.
  • Identify future project opportunities and ensure appropriate support is provided.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer engagement and project activity through CRM systems.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience building and managing stakeholder relationships within the social housing, property or public sector environment.
  • An understanding of construction, development, maintenance or investment programmes.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience working within a customer-focused or account management environment.

What’s on Offer?

  • Salary of £57,000-£63,000 (depending on experience)
  • Home and field-based working across Wales – one day in the office per week
  • Opportunity to work with a portfolio of established clients
  • Significant autonomy and stakeholder engagement
  • Potential for the role to become permanent following the initial six-month contract
