Associate Director – Design Manager, Water Infrastructure

Overview

In this Design Manager role, you lead multidisciplinary water infrastructure design on major projects, guiding delivery from concept to construction. You will manage scope, schedule, resources and budgets to ensure quality and compliance, while collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams. You’ll provide design leadership across disciplines and contribute to bids and methodologies, mentoring high-performing teams. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary water infrastructure design across major projects
• Manage scope, programme, resources, budgets and technical outputs to meet quality, time and compliance requirements
• Provide design leadership across all disciplines from concept through to construction
• Collaborate with clients, project managers and teams to resolve issues and align technical and commercial outcomes
• Contribute to bids and methodology development while mentoring team members and fostering high-performance practices

Key requirements

• Track record delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high quality
• Proven experience in design management overseeing planning, design, and execution
• Experience in water infrastructure (pipes, pumps, treatment) and familiarity with WA clients
• Excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to understand systems and processes interconnections for holistic delivery
• Relevant tertiary qualification
