Winner Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Hoyland, Barnsley.

The Role
As a Welder, you will be responsible for the MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel components, working to high quality standards within a busy manufacturing environment.
You will also have the opportunity to work with automated plasma and seam welding equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding and fabrication of mild steel components
- Manufacturing repetitive components using jigs and assembly fixtures
- Working to specified quality and workmanship standards
- Operating automated plasma and seam welding equipment
- Maintaining a high standard of work within a manufacturing environment
- Working as part of a team to meet production requirements
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in fabrication and welding
- Strong MIG welding experience
- Experience using jigs and assembly fixtures
- The ability to produce consistent, high-quality work
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment
- A good understanding of welding and fabrication processes
- TIG welding experience is desirable but not essential
Working Hours
Day Shift
- Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am – 1:30pm
Regular structured overtime available.
Rotating Shift
- Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Friday: 6:00am – 11:30am / 11:30am – 5:00pm
Shift premium of 1.15x applies to both shifts.
Pay & Overtime
- £16.13 – £16.78 per hour
- Guaranteed minimum weekly bonus of £50
- Overtime at enhanced rates:
- £24.20 per hour – Level A overtime
- £32.26 per hour – Level B overtime
- Additional monthly business performance bonus averaging around £280-£350
- OTE of approximately £36,150 – £41,060 per year
