Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking for flexible opportunities in community nursing services?
NELFT is seeking experienced Band 5 and Band 6 Bank Community Nurses to support our community nursing teams across Havering.
You will deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in their own homes and community settings, supporting individuals with a range of clinical needs while promoting independence and preventing avoidable hospital admissions.
To be considered, you must have:
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Previous experience working in community nursing.
- A full driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
- Experience undertaking clinical assessments, administering medication and delivering wound care.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, infection prevention and patient safety.
- The ability to work independently, prioritise clinical needs and recognise when escalation is required.
We are particularly interested in nurses with experience in diabetes management, catheter care, compression bandaging, phlebotomy and the management of patients with complex health needs.
Band 6 applicants should also demonstrate experience in autonomous clinical decision-making, managing complex patient needs and providing clinical guidance or leadership.
We recognise that nurses may not have recent experience in every clinical procedure. Refresher training and competency assessments may be available for specific skills, subject to service requirements.
As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted applicants will be asked to complete a clinical competency self-assessment. All competencies will be subject to appropriate verification before undertaking relevant clinical duties.
