Director of Operations

A leading UK manufacturer needs an ambitious Operations Director to lead manufacturing and transport across multiple sites and shifts. You’ll raise the bar and move at pace.

You should also have the drive to one day take the reins of the whole business.

Playing it safe isn’t always the brief. You’ll back yourself to make bold calls without compromising on quality, safety or teamwork.

The role

• Set and deliver an operational strategy built for growth and scale
• Lead production and transport across all sites and shifts
• Build a high-performing management team that owns its results
• Drive productivity, quality, yield and cost through clear KPIs
• Push automation, continuous improvement and waste reduction
• Own Health & Safety, environmental and quality compliance, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
• Lead change and new product introductions with R&D and the senior leadership team
• Manage budgets, workforce planning and capital investment

• A proven record of improving performance: faster, leaner and better quality
• The confidence to challenge the status quo and take calculated risks

• Strong commercial awareness and a sharp eye on cost
