In this role you will apply geotechnical, engineering geology or tunnelling expertise to deliver projects across the UK and internationally. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team shaping major rail, energy, water and infrastructure schemes, from concept through operation. You’ll contribute analytical and strategic insights, lead project teams, and help drive innovative, sustainable solutions. Responsibilities

• Deliver ground engineering or tunnelling projects to time and budget in the UK or overseas
• Provide analytical and strategic expertise at all project stages from concept to operation
• Lead project teams and mentor colleagues, adapting to project needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for large-scale rail and transit projects
• Adhere to current design codes, standards, and best practices while exploring innovative methods
• Travel within the UK as required and maintain a valid driving licence

Key requirements

• Degree (BSc or MSc) in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or Engineering Geology
• Progress towards Chartered status is advantageous but not mandatory (support provided)
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to inspire teams
• Strong understanding of geotechnical or structural/tunnel design standards
• Willingness to travel across the UK
• Clean driving licence
