Estimator – Infrastructure

Overview

In this role you will deliver accurate estimates and cost plans for infrastructure projects, working within Turner & Townsend’s Estimating Hub. You’ll support clients as an embedded resource or on multi-client pieces, contributing to decision-making with robust cost data. The position offers exposure to UK-based projects with occasional remote tasks and cross-project collaboration. You will help promote estimating best practices and stay current with technical developments to drive value.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate, timely estimates and cost plans
• Control and manage project-level estimating processes
• Produce estimates independently without supervision
• Support development and promotion of estimating best practices
• Assist in achieving departmental objectives
• Stay updated on technical developments to provide best-practice advice

Key requirements

• Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with relevant experience
• Proven experience in estimating and/or QS services within large projects
• Experience with estimating software packages
• Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status or progressing towards it
• Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB / A Cost E.
