Design Engineer

Overview

In this role you join the Shoring Design Team to develop temporary works solutions and produce high-quality design documentation. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver designs that meet codes, budgets, and timelines, while driving innovation in our processes and best practices. You will shape technical outputs and support project delivery from tender to construction. Responsibilities

• Prepare tender proposals and design stages (preliminary and construction) in line with codes and legislation
• Follow Technical department procedures to maintain a smooth design process
• Collaborate with customers, Hire Desk, Sales and Operations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
• Support workload distribution by working with other technical teams
• Provide guidance to team members and develop systems to maintain consistency
• Produce design drawings using Autodesk Revit
• Manage own workload and time for specific project work
• Communicate effectively in meetings and discussions
• Lead on innovation and develop best practices for new working methods

Key requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role in the construction industry
• Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and MS Office
