Delivery Manager

Overview

In this Delivery Manager role, you drive operational excellence and delivery performance across Mission teams by embedding Agile practices and removing blockers. You’ll align delivery with strategic priorities, delivering business value quickly and transparently. You’ll champion continuous improvement, leverage data to boost speed and quality, and foster cross-functional collaboration. This is a fast-paced, impact-driven role within a purpose-led tech organisation that values accountability and measurable outcomes. You’ll partner with product, engineering and operations to enable high-performing teams delivering tangible results.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery performance at the Mission level, ensuring timelines, quality and priorities are met
• Embed delivery metrics into decision-making and provide clear visibility of progress, risk and value
• Lead Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, stakeholder reviews)
• Identify and resolve blockers; optimise workflows with Portfolio Managers
• Champion delivery excellence via performance monitoring and root-cause analysis; implement improvements
• Coordinate across Product and Engineering teams to manage dependencies
• Own dependency management and proactively manage risks; escalate when needed
• Collaborate with Product Managers to prioritise and enable informed decisions
• Partner with Delivery Enablement, EMs and Product Leaders to align delivery with pillar strategy and objectives
• Champion Agile maturity and use metrics (predictability, cycle time, throughput) to drive improvements
• Lead retrospectives and performance reviews to generate actionable actions
• Work with EMs to balance technical excellence with delivery speed
• Facilitate collaboration with EMs and ensure system integrity through engineering managers and staff engineers

Key requirements

• Expert Level (Must-Have) delivery management in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Business, Operations)
• Good Level (Preferred) Agile process optimization and data-driven decision-making using delivery metrics
