Artificial Intelligence Engineer

I’m working with a highly technical organisation, a leading global financial services group, that is building a brand new AI team to put Generative AI into real use across the business.

What you’ll be working on:

• Building LLM applications that search, summarise and make sense of large volumes of documents
• Developing retrieval pipelines using embeddings and vector search
• Creating agent based workflows and prompt systems with leading models from Anthropic and OpenAI
• Deploying Python services on Google Cloud, mainly Vertex AI, BigQuery and Cloud Run
• Putting evaluation, monitoring and cost tracking in place so you know how your AI performs once live
• Building in the controls needed to handle customer data responsibly in a regulated environment

• It’s a new team, so you’ll shape how things are built from day one rather than maintain someone else’s system
• Real ownership and plenty of visibility, working closely with people right across the business
• A broad role spanning LLMs, data, cloud and responsible AI, with a clear focus on getting working products into production
• Strong Python, GCP and production GenAI experience would be very relevant, and experience in regulated or customer facing industries is a plus
